Rose Colors and their Meanings

 

The rose speaks of love silently, in a language known only to the heart. Since Valentine’s Day is round the corner, now it is time to express your feelings. No problem if you can’t say it, express yourself with the help of a rose which apart from being beautiful also convey the message of your heart. It has been the tradition from time immemorial to gift a rose to a loved one and if you put it forth with a personal message nothing can be better than that. Here we would discuss the roses and their different colors that express different feelings of your heart.

  • Red Rose is the most popular among all the colors in which roses come. It stands for love, passion, respect and courage. If you give somebody a single red rose it would convey that you love that person.

  • Dark and Deep roses are symbolic of unconscious and carefree beauty.

  • Yellow Rose stands for Friendship, happiness, joy and a mark of new beginning. If you give a yellow rose to somebody it would mead that you want him or her to be your friend. It also way of patching up and say that I am trying to care or that my love for you is decreasing. Yellow rose also signifies jealousy.

  • White Rose stands for purity, innocence and peace. It communicates love that is spiritual and soulful. At times it also stands for respect, dedication and devotion. Sometimes white rose also stands for secrecy.

  • Pink rose stands for appreciation, gentleness, happiness, grace, appreciation and sympathy. It is also used to express gratitude. It also stands for reassurance.

  • Orange roses symbolize fascination, enthusiasm and desire. They express an array of feelings and are a good choice if given at the start of a relationship.

  • Lavender Rose conveys the message of falling in love at first sight and being enchanted by the person.

  • Black rose signifies death and decay.

  • Blue rose conveys that a thing is impossible and difficult to attain.

  • Peach rose communicates the message of modesty.

  • Crimson Rose conveys mourning and loss.

  • White and red rose conveys the message of unity; in fact it is the emblem of England.

  • Dry white rose emphasizes on the significance of virtue. It conveys that death is acceptable than loss of virtue.

  • Rose that does not have thorns stands for "love at first sight".

  • Dead rose of any color signifies that it is over and finished. There can be no more of that relationship.

  • White and yellow roses when mixed and given to someone they convey the message of harmony.

  • Similarly when red and yellow roses are mixed and gifted they symbolize celebration and happiness.

  • Tea roses symbolize eternal remembrance. It communicates that the person who gives the rose would always remember the receiver.

  • A rosebud symbolizes youth and beauty and it might be of any color, the message remains the same though.

  • When two roses are intertwined it means that the giver wants to propose marriage to the receiver.

  • Number of roses that are given also matter and convey messages like if it is a bunch of twelve roses, it means gratitude, if it has twenty-five roses it means it conveys good wishes and congratulations and if it is a bunch of fifty roses then it conveys the message of unconditional love.
