Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does it matter what religion each of us are or are not?
A: No.

Q: Can we have a non-religious, spiritual ceremony?
A: Yes, this is your choice.

Q: Can we have a ceremony that includes elements of different religions and religious traditions?
A: Yes, this is your ceremony, make it your own. We will try to incorporate your wants and needs.

Q: Are there any prerequisites such as counseling?
A: No, however we would like to meet you to talk about your wedding and how we can help you with your wedding and the writing of your Vows.

Q: Does it matter that either of us has been married before, divorced, or have children?
A: No, we offer family ceremonies as well.

Q: Can we write our own vows or make changes to your basic ceremony?
A: Absolutely!

Q: What do you wear when officiating weddings?
A: Usually I wear a suit, or whatever the theme may be.(i.e.) Western, South Seas, You name it.

Q: What are the fees for officiating my ceremony?
A: Our fees include the rehearsal, wedding, filing of license, and the meeting and all emails, faxes, phone calls, and travel time, it covers it all. Each wedding is priced individually depending on your wishes for your ceremony. Because I spend a great deal of time with my wedding couples to ensure that everything is perfect for their ceremony, I charge accordingly and I may not be the lowest priced officiant in the area (nor am I the most expensive). So please call me at 520-343-5302, or use our online form found under Contact Us link.

Q: Can we pay the entire balance when we book to get it out of the way?
A: Yes.  The balance is due at least one month before your wedding day.

Q: How far in advance should I confirm a wedding officiant?
A: The sooner the better.  Sometimes we are booked a year in advance, so do not delay!

Q: What about last minute requests?
A: We have done many weddings on short notice.  We were able to work through the details without any difficulties and have a wonderful ceremony.  Call us as soon as you can and I will do my best to fit you in.

Q: How is booking handled?
A: You are booked when we receive a deposit of 50% of the total fee.  A security deposit is required at the first meeting to secure/reserve your booking. The balance must be paid at least one month in advance of the scheduled wedding.

Q: Do we need a license?
A: If you are having both the legal (civil) and spiritual (religious) marriage, yes, you must get a wedding license.  If you are already married and are looking to renew your vows with a first time style, a marriage license is not required.
